Well, hello again!

Wow! It's been a whole year, almost two since my last post. Nobody probably even reads this or checks it anymore! lol. I guess I'll treat it like an open book diary instead.

I've read the posts from 2009, and it brought back such a flood of memories. It made me take a look at the events since then. It's really just a huge blur! How could I possibly write it all in one posting? I'll just write a VERY abbreviated overview. I'm sure I'll think of a ton of events after I log off. lol

Things are going well. Yep, still living with Dad and Mom. Most of the packed boxes that were set aside did get eventually sorted out. We have a crazy routine that kinda works for all of us. It's still a little crowded, but I'm happy to say that it's been a rare thing for anyone to have serious "issues" with another person. Anything that arises usually gets sorted out quickly. Have toes been stepped on? Of course they have. Ha! Have I had moments of insanity? Of course! But God's grace has been abounding! We all still like each other.

Nothing too crazy with our immediate family though there are a few things of note.

Tessa no longer lives with us. She's all married now as of December 11, 2010, with her own little surprise baby on the way. (YAY!)

Jacob now works for a new employer as of May 2010. He's even been to Dublin, Ireland for two months and back. (Thank goodness they didn't end up sending him to Cairo, Egypt!) He got a promotion out of the deal which was much appreciated. Ten dollars an hour for a family of five was a leeeetle on the tight side. He is now a team manager which makes a bit more. I am so proud of him!

Jared has lost a few teeth. The third was lost last week. He is so cute! He's lost the two front bottom ones and his first top tooth in front. (The one on the left if you're looking at him.) There are a few more wiggly ones right behind them too. Won't be long!

Kristopher lost a tooth as well, though not from natural causes. Just from brother causes. Last summer he was being pulled around by Jared in the little wagon and guess they were going to fast and he flew out of the wagon and went face first into the pavement. That was our first emergency visit to the dentist. He was alright when all was said and done, just missing a tooth and chipping some more of what was already a chipped tooth.

Kolbein has all his teeth so far. lol ....for now.

Jared played T-ball last year on the Rockies team for Clackamas Little League. He loved it so much that we went ahead and signed both Kristopher and him up this year. That part alone is worthy of a whole separate blog posting. So, we'll save it for later. We had a game today and I'm a little pooped as it is. I will mention that they only have a week left for this season. Most of their games have been rained out, but still worth the ride. I'll have to post a picture or two of them in their little team uniforms. VERY ADORABLE! I can say that still so I will. :D

Today was our first warm day of the year. You know, the kind where you're hunting for the sprinkler or looking for a little pool for them to play with, and in our case applying a lot of sunscreen too. After checking our Oregon weather report, I decided against setting up the bigger pool although I was asked a million times if they could have the bigger one. It's almost time, but not quite yet.

It was pretty windy out today, and the little pool was gross after sitting in the shed for a year. So we dug around in the garage for a sprinkler head for the hose (the kind that you hold while watering your plants). I found a few good rags and told the boys to go clean the pool. They cleaned it, as I knew they would, for a couple of hours! I had so much fun listening to them giggle and squeal as they got each other wet. I paused from my chores a couple of times to go "help" them.

Eventually, it was time to bring them in for a fast bath for tomorrow. I laughed so hard at Kolbein though when he threw a fit 'cause he had to take a bath. He had just played in the COLD water for almost three hours, but didn't want to get into the warm bath!?! Too funny.

Well, I am trying to really enjoy these days here at my parents' home. As difficult as it is sometimes, and as much as I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY (you get the idea) ready to have my own home again (sometimes it's all I can think about for the day), I don't want to forget to pause and absorb these water splashing moments.

Life has taken on such a fast pace for us. May be because it's not just managing our schedule, but dealing with the schedules of everyone else in the house and then some. I find myself longing for my nice quiet apartment in the shop up in Idaho at Patrick and Kayla's on more the one occasion. (Even with all the aforementioned carpenter ants, which weren't so bad as long as you stayed on top of the insecticide.) I miss them greatly! Kayla was my bud. In fact, over half our stuff is still up there in a storage unit. lol! I forget what kind of dishes I even have anymore.

I am happy for the most part. I think Jacob is more than ready to have his own place too, but we are grateful and thankful that we have such wonderful family that was so willing (both in Oregon and in Idaho) to give selflessly to us. We can never repay them all, but hopefully will get at least a turn or two to show them such kindness in return. We are truly blessed!!
How long will we be here at my parents' beautiful home? I don't know. Will we stay in Oregon, or will we move back to North Idaho? That's the million dollar question that rocks our mind. We have some ideas up our sleeve, but are just keeping them in prayer for now. We are making progress financially, but still have just a few more things to go so we have to stay put for a little longer at least. Spring 2012 may be? I'll keep you posted... I hope. lol
